AMERS is a non-profit that focusses on mobilising communities for UN EMPLOYED YOUTHS in India’s rural and educationally backward areas. The NGO for education which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. AMERS an NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.3200 educated but un-employed youths directly provided vocational skill development education through 20 centers in 5 states. 51% of total beneficiaries were girls, to ensure a fair start for all. 100% of trainers received training in academic methodologies, ensuring an engaging environment for the boys and girls. Various studies, as well as our experience, have shown that when we work towards women empowerment, the whole society benefits. But unfortunately in India, far from empowering women, most are denied even their basic rights like health, education of girls for women empowerment, employment and a respectable status in society. 0ver 6000 women and girls were benefitted and empowered through various interventions under the Skill development (Tailoring & Beautician) programs.

Our goal is to improve access and quality of education for over Lakhs educated but unemployed youths cumulatively by 2025.
Work as a catalyst in bringing sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development. Adopt highest standards of governance to emerge as a leading knowledge and technology driven, innovative and scalable international development organisation.

AMERS aims to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. In addition, the mission would also address livelihood concerns by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security and skills to the urban poor for accessing emerging market opportunities.

Now, the informal sector has traditionally been a source of services for middle and higher income groups in cities through provision of services such as security, carpentry, gardening, construction, plumbing, electrical work, health care support, housekeeping etc. However these services are not available in organized and reliable manner in urban areas. The urban po or who produce marketable goods and services many times are often not able to find a viable market. The urban poor also lack information regarding the various opportunities/ benefits available to them via government and other programmes (e.g. skill training opportunities, bank credit, social security benefits, etc.) Therefore, the urban poor need support services to help them access several opportunities available to them.

The development of the AMERS SKILL TRAINING CENTRE aims to support Urban Poor by providing them one stop solution to market their products and services and also can access information and other benefits. The AMERS will act as a bridge between urban poor and middle and higher income groups who are accessing various services like security, carpentry, gardening, construction, plumbing, electrical work, health care support, housekeeping which in turn is provided by Urban Poor. The Skill Training Centre should be formed as per the “SKILL INDIA / NSDC guidelines”.
